Monitoring and change detection
A one-off map is a snapshot. By surveying the same site at regular intervals, we document what changed, by how much and when — so everything from a construction site to a coastline is managed with dated, measurable data.

An ongoing service
Flights scheduled weekly, monthly or in line with valuation periods produce an orthomosaic and elevation model for each period. Change maps quantify work done, material lost and ground movement.
Consistency
Every period uses the same flight plan, ground control and processing settings, so differences between surveys reflect real change on site — not a change in method.
Natural processes
Slow processes such as landslides, erosion and coastal retreat can be tracked at millimetre-to-centimetre level. In critical areas, survey frequency is increased for early warning.
Deliverables from this service
Progress monitoring
A dated record of surface change and construction progress, built by comparing surveys flown on different dates.
GeoTIFF, SHP, PDFEarthworks & volumes
Cut and fill volumes from the difference between existing ground and the design surface, with cross-sections, schedules and a checked and approved report.
PDF report, DWG sections, XLSXOrthomosaic
A georeferenced, distortion-corrected aerial image mosaic you can measure directly from.
GeoTIFF, ECW, JPEG 2000Industries we serve with it
Construction
On site, decisions come down to quantities and programme. We document every stage with measurable data — from pre-construction existing conditions, through each valuation period, to post-construction checks.
Mining
In mining, production, inventory and safety all come down to the ground. By surveying pits, benches and stockpiles regularly, we reconcile production by volume and keep track of slope geometry.
Agriculture
No field yields evenly. We map crop health with multispectral imagery, flag problem areas early, and help you put inputs where they’re actually needed.
Environment and forestry
Change in natural landscapes is slow but lasting. We monitor forest cover, erosion, water resources and land use with measurable data, giving environmental decisions a solid evidence base.
Disaster response and damage assessment
In the first hours after a disaster, an accurate, up-to-date map is critical. We map the affected area quickly, identify damage through before/after comparison, and provide a base for reconstruction.
FAQs
How often should the site be flown?
Weekly, fortnightly or monthly, depending on the pace of work and your reporting cycle — more often during critical phases.
What is 4D GIS?
Managing 3D spatial data over time. Every period’s model is kept, so any two dates can be compared.
What if there’s no historical data?
The first flight becomes the baseline. Where suitable, earlier conditions can also be approximated from archive satellite imagery.
